Divorce is one of the most challenging situations a family can face. Robyn’s goal is to help clients manage and minimize the stress of this life changing event while providing them with the tools to have a happy and hopeful future.  She guides clients through complicated and difficult divorces, child custody disputes, and child support enforcement matters assisting them to achieve a successful resolution of their matter.

Her approach combines careful legal and practical analysis, creative thinking and a deep insight into each family’s needs in order to provide individualized and workable solutions for her clients. When clients and their families need tough representation, she is an adept fighter for their rights. However, she also has essential communication and relational skills to guide them in coming to a mutually beneficial agreement with their spouse and avoiding prolonged litigation.

When appropriate, Robyn advises clients to consider mediation to resolve their disputes. She works with families to create parenting plans, settlement agreements, or just address the myriad of small everyday issues of divorce or separation. In her experience, mediation can often help mitigate the impact of divorce on children. As a child of a divorce, she understands how children can suffer especially when a divorce is contentious and parents can’t move forward. She mediates from that perspective recognizing the needs of all the parties and facilitates an agreement that benefits all members of the family.

Whether litigating or mediating a dispute, Robyn draws on her 30 + years of experience serving client needs in family disputes, as well as in businesses and real estate matters. Her broad-based knowledge and expertise enables her to provide accurate and useful advice on a wide array of legal, financial and practical issues involved in a separation or divorce.

Educated at Emory University and Cardozo School of Law, Robyn has received extensive specialized training in mediation and negotiation, from Conflict Management Consultants (Basic 40-hour mediation training), New York Peace Institute (Advanced Apprenticeship), the Ackerman Group (Basic Divorce Mediation training), New York Center for Interpersonal Development (Advanced Divorce Mediation training and Advanced Practicum in Mediation), and New York City Non-Violent Communication group (Compassionate Communication training).

Robyn focuses her divorce practice in New York City. She is admitted to the Bar in New York, Connecticut and Colorado.
